We started the class reviewing some stuff from last semester and from this semester(congruence of triangles, similar triangles, median, altitude and etc). Then we went over 5 theorems: theorem 7-7: proportional perimeters
if: triangle ABC is similar to triangle DEF
then: their perimeters have the same scale factor as corresponding sides
Theorem 7-8:
If: triangle ABC is similar to triangle DEF
Then: their altitudes have the same scale factor as corresponding sides
Theorem 7-9:
if: triangle ABC is similar to triangle DEF
then: their angle bisectors have the same scale factor as corresponding sides
theorem 7-10:
if: triangle ABC is similar to triangle DEF
then: their medians have the same scale factor as corresponding sides
OBS: there isn’t a theorem for perpendicular bisector; because perpendicular bisector it is a line and we can’t count its measure.
Theorem 7-11:
If: ad is an angle bisector of triangle ABC
Then: BD = AB
DC AC
